General Pandemic Preparation Versus GCBR Interventions
General pandemic preparedness is largely focused on helping alamisies and lower income countries get more equitable access to a lot of like drugs vaccines and other things. GCBRs interventions are either focused on preventing pandemics outright or conditional on an event happening that could lead to one. The Russian flu back in the 1970s killed close to a million people but there's strong reason to think it was caused by a lab leak, he says.
