The Process of Scoring Small Games
I use an engine called Construct Free, which has a very neat thing if you scale the resolution down enough where single pixels get like sub pixels. I have visual design theories that I'm not going to go into right now. A lot of the techniques that I use for animation and stuff are taken from two developers. One of them is called Trasavol Dog, the French developer who's been in the same league with mathematics and movement and feedback and stuff. And they have animation, they figured out ways of animation that are very smart and simple and clean. But also a big part of my art style, if you could call it, that is just construct built-in shaders.
