What Do We Need the Law For?
The need to coordinate actually has downside. It means that there's only certain kinds of things that we can co ordinate. We have a norm against murdering, but not killing people who aren't too old. Or again, you could or maybe an anorm againstnot not killing people as long as yhou're sufficiently sentient. That's not the a utilitarian might say, you should weigh off like the quality life yours against if you can take out the organs and hand em out? No, we say, murders, murders, murder, even if they only have a day left to live. It's evil.
