The Seven Seals and the Silence of Heaven

When the lamb opened the seventh seal there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. This imagery is meant to remind us of something very specific we have already read about in the Old Testament. The trumpet plagues are cause for celebration and joy because it means our deliverance from the world is close at hand. Jesus is leading the church out of the bondage of the world so they can join him in heaven.
