Gold tends to do well in a rising interest rate environment. Jerome Powell is saying, I'm going to raise rates higher than anybody thinks I will. That suggests that there's a level of uncertainty and anxiety for investors about what the Fed is saying. And I think that is generally speaking very helpful for gold.
