The debate over the tactics and strategy that the gay rights movement used in the 1960s and 1970s will never end. The big bang narrative of stonewall is a bit oversimplified but it's also not completely bullshit either, says John Sutter. People at the time were pissed off about them getting erased too like there were people that were fighting for their inclusion who ended up leaving new york city because they were really upset with how things were going.
