General Motors' Decision to Drop Support for Car Play in Android Auto
General Motors has decided that the company's future electric cars will drop support for car play in Android Auto. Buyers via GM EVs with the new systems will get access to Google Maps and Google Assistant, voice command system at no extra cost for eight years. But any hope of connecting your phone to the cars beyond Bluetooth will be gone.
