Teaching With Stories and Narrative

Don't try and teach too much. Another way to really build competence in your learners is to try and weave some narrative into everything you're doing. So think about your curriculum, whatever subject that may be. Is there a story you can tell to back up what you're teaching? Put some narrative in there and allow the students to go with you. All of this promotes confidence in their own ability. And it augments the teacher's self-confidence in their own practice. You feel like you're good at your teaching because they're all understanding. They're all with you. Of course, when they are all understanding and doing well, they feel competent and that makes you feel more competent
