What Does an Artist Do With Their Audience?

i'm always very interested in how the audience is responding to what i'm doing, and i'm really interested in how to subvert or kind of play with that audience. When i wrote steel like an artist, i mean, i just thought it was, like, this is just what i wish i had known when i was 19, you know? I have a tumbler that's kind of like a commonplace book, where i just anything interesting i come across, i'll blok it on the tumbler.
