The History of Abortion

In the pre industrial age, abortion was widely practised amongst m hute gatherer societies. They used it as one of their primary methods of keeping birth rates to approximately a replacement level. By the 18 eighties, abortion was fully criminalized in places like canada and the united states. It pretty much remained criminalized until 19 67 in most western democracies,. except for sweden and denmark, which had deconalized it a bit earlier. Am, i don't why abortion e criminalized after being widely practised and socially acceptable for the vast majority of human history is an interesting question.
