There's a tension between the enforced domesticity of being a mother and the artistic quest you're on. I think it's something, for me, with this huge kind of disembotament when I left Britain,. That was a moment that began the very personal part in this book. And I remember eating one avocado on the plane, you know, try to get back to Britain from America. And then I kept that huge stone on the plane in that Ador's flight. When I arrived in London, I planted that avocado stone. And it just grew.
