When you first get your job in journalism, a lot of the work that you'll be doing on the daily is copywriting. You basically do that about 18 times a day and then there's this really fancy leaderboard in the office which ticks up how many clicks your article has had. It's like a targeting center for like clicks on nine, isn't it? Yes. Some places will do bonuses for it. I've been in a newsroom where you would get a monthly mail saying this person is the most read journalist. Yeah.
