Sally Kohn: We are fixed in one mode of being, whereas we would have been able to transition between these distinct modes much more fluidly. She says there's like this asymmetry of aggression where different personalities have self segregated into different social roles that imply hyper competence in some domains but a withering of any kind of competence or ability in others. "This has everything to do with the age of mutual and comprehension that we inhabit," she says.
