"We all like having some tribe that we can belong toto some degree, right? Most people like that," he says. "I get a loto crat from people on the right because, oh, well, you're not true conservative because you're gay." He doesn't want an audience that wants to be in an echo chamber. 'There is nobody, there are very few people' who will challenge him or his views without risking their own lives,' he says.
