The Different Types of Matter
In solids, the atoms or molecules are packed closely together and do not move relative to each other. There are two different types of solids: crystalline solids and amorphous solids. Crystal line solids have a well-ordered repeating crystal structure. Whereas amorphoussolids,. the atoms are stuck in position, but there's no long-range order or pattern to those positions.
