The DA's Decision to Indict a Former President Doesn't Signal Confidence
Alvin Bragg as the DA has the power to indict this case whenever he wants. He's not up against any legal deadline. No one can force him to indict. And so it may be that he's just taking more than a moment now, but some time to pause. Think about it before bringing the first ever charge in the history of the country. The other way of looking at it though is it doesn't look good. It gives the impression that there's some hesitancy,. Some reluctance, maybe some question about the evidence.
