Dr. Bonnie is trained as a mouth immunologist and she does animal studies. She decided to pursue a degree in public health, not so much because of the reasons people say you pursue public health,. But mostly to give me an enhanced skill set that I didn't have when I was learning to be a basic mouth biologist. We're just trying to scratch our head, figuring out what these cells are, what they do," Dr. Bonnie said.
