One person, one thing makes a difference. When you engineer a new system, it completely renders irrelevant your history. The life of a human being today, the challenge is the dynamic. How many children get up and worry about getting eaten by a wild animal today? It's irrelevant. You can kill yourself in three seconds. What matters is you're in the frickin' car.
