The Fear of Infection
The idea of Saint Hubert's key became another solution to chase after. In person, the key was heated up and used to cauterize the wound. But later on, the monks of SaintHubert's Abbey began to issue their own small copies. All someone had to do was hang the object on their wall to protect their house from rabies.
