Jeff Bezos and David Shaw were at the early days of all this stuff, Robin Hood and Citadel. Jeff was working on a third market business that may have been transformed into this because it makes so much more sense over the internet. The two men decided to start an online retail brokerage for financial trading like E-Trade. It was a competitor to E-Trade but they didn't end up doing anything together.
