A model can be genetic or chemical. I tend to favor the genetic models for these diseases of aging, primarily because of aging itself. Toxins are like dropping a atomic bomb on something. They're very acute. And sometimes they're very specific, but they're very rapid in causing degeneration. That is the opposite of what we see in these diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
