The Importance of Time Control in the World Cup

Peter Sviggler has this unfortunate habit of doing very well in World Cup City. He often has to hang around for a while, which is not all bad. The tension can escalate even in the early rounds and you might have one of the favorites get put to the test early. There's obviously the top players, but there's a few other names that jumped out of me like David Howell who doesn't play a ton of chess.
