Fred Hampton took complex Marxist ideas and was able to put them into plain, everyday language that could be easily understood by the people in his community. "He just lived his life in a very clean, above-board way," says author of The Black Panther Party: An Autobiography. He died so young; it really is incredible how young he got into activism  and activism that always had a broad base.
