The Human Rights Foundation has been a prominent advocate for privacy and freedom in the digital world. If you don't want to live in a police state where the government is watching everything you do, then you're going to need your transactions to be private. It's worth remembering that when you pay for something with a banknote, the merchant doesn't know anything about you. They don't know your birthday or where you come from or what you bought lastor what your home address is. That was okay, that was legally, morally, ethically, technologically fine. And now when you swipe and the system knows that it's you and you have this huge identity stack that's attached to that action
