The Paradox of Expertise and Email
We're going to read a select few reader emales, react to them and do it again next month. This week's topic is the value of being a generalist at a time when we are taught that specializing is the key to success. One listener writes: Often when some one wants to start a business, they'll end up disqualifying themselves because they have no experience. I couldn't agree more with this listener. Expertis isn't necessarily a good or bad thing. But there are trade offs to people who have a lot of expertise or have none of it.
