The book chronicles the rise of organized crime in New York during World War II. The FBI was compromised by its first director, J Edgar Hoover, who was allegedly sexually blackmailed by organized crime. A lot of these tactics have really continued through the years and I'm trying to show how this particular network has engaged in that activity over the years.
