The Fifth Column

CHAPTER

The Skeptics' Argument for HIV

RFK was also HIV positive and had a daughter named Eliza Jane who is also HIV positive. She refused to treat her daughter with any of these drug cocktails because she said HIV is essentially a harmless virus. Her Kennedy cites her, I think, five or six times in the book but never tells the reader that she died and her daughter died in the process of saying that this stuff is ultimately harmless. If you don't know your sloppy, if you're leaving it out, it's sort of sinister.
