Our Good Works Are God's Gifts
Our merits are accepting the offer of salvation is at once something God chooses for us because he gives us those merits. He brings those merits about in us, but also something we do because they're things that we actions that we do. So it can be up to us and God, we can be responsible, we need to do and be responsible for, but it's also up to God Because God gives us those very actions, right, that mirror salvation. They're God's gifts. I think there's lots of support for this in the tradition, beginning with Scripture, right?
