David Perry: I like to have my cake and eat it too. There's place in any training program for the pure mechanical output power oriented stuff like a very heavy deadlift. But as sport specific athletes as runners, we also need to take thatvery pure expression of mechanical output and also do it in a running specific way. We're such big fans of high mileage, even though it doesn't sound like that because most of our athletes are capping out how much they can do in the gym in their running training. And so we're just essentially saying, Hey, we're going to just try to minimize those risks.
