The Doudejing and the Danza

The doutaging is also one of the most translated books of all time, as far as i know. In part, probably because it's so short, and in part because it just tantalizes you. And we'll talk about that a little bit more as we get into the commentary on danza. But i am going to give you two different renderings of the opening of the dao. The first one captures some of its terseness, because it is famously short in such a way that you can't even piece together the sentence structure sometimes. And the second one will give you an idea of how these things are not just rendered, but also interpreted in english.
