I think it would be am funny to describe corporations as somehow escaping a criticism for their failure to respect people's privacy. People see more and more that these companies aren't to be trusted. They don't want this kind of a situation to exist, but that the laws permit a essentially a political economy and business model justified by surveillance capital. And i think in both instances, users are pretty sceptical of both these a central poles of power, i suppose. We'd be acting advocating for human right pased approach to privacy - allowing people to participate in on line life without being watched.
