Putin's Support for Sjogu's Contract With the Ministry of Defense
The current spat is circulating around the notion that all volunteers and mercenaries have to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense. The key issue is whether or not a Wagner family can get preferential mortgages. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some kind of fudge that happens, we've seen this in the past. But otherwise if Putin does not really come down hard on Pragogen, then he will look weak. And if Putin does, then that may, at least in the short term, disrupt Wagner and mean that the Russians haven't got one of their more effective forces at their disposal.
