There's a tool called positive for helping you quickly recruit people for studies online. Every study participant at the end of participation is asked if they think this was unethical. If more than a few say yes, it just automatically stopped and the researcher is forced to deal with it. I mean, that's just a vastly more sensible procedure than what you would get in most other areas. But yeah, there's like lots of ways where someone could commit a crime and do some harm," he says.
