The minimum wage has been extremely damaging to the Black community. The origins of it were racist and eugenics. It's looking at what is unseen, who doesn't get hired? Well, if you have a high minimum wage, I'm not going to take my chance on somebody who just got out of prison. You see their employment begin to go down much faster than white teenage employment. And that may be because they don't have transportation or other struggles given back in early part of 20th century.
