Miles: Is there any realistic option where this ends up with a more moderate Republican who can get some more Democrat votes to kind of switch over? Almost certainly not. For a lot of reasons, one, there's a lot of ill will towards Kevin McCarthy among a lot of rank and file Democrats. One thing that I think is benefiting McCarthy is that the five public hard line knows, like Andy Biggs of Arizona or Matt Gaetz of Florida. They don't have a groundswell of support. And so even if you're maybe not super in love with the idea of McCarthy as speaker, I do think there's a lots of Republicans who want to avoid that perception that the party
