Cave diving is important. The science is important. What we were doing inside that cave that day was important. Being inside the largest iceberg in recorded history is important to understand climate change. Mapping and surveying where these water conduits lay beneath our feet is important. These giant problems like getting out of a cave or surviving a burglar seem all too much. We don't know how it's all co end. But we know what the next, best possible step forward is in life, and sometimes that means stepping into the darkness.
