Carbon offsets might form an easy root out for companies who are not willing to do the really hard work of actually preducing their footprint. Companies that a want to avoid being accused of green washing have to be more transparent on how they calculated their footprint, and what tools did they use. So its a bit like this idea of double materiality, that alongside my reporting of my financial performance, i need to report my carbon and other environmental folmance. And and to do that publicly.
