Antarctica: Facts and Rumours

The Duke of Kent actually spent 15 years in his youth as a polar bear doing research on polar bear populations. Antarctica is home to more than 200 penguins and was closed for repairs throughout the 1970s. I'm just worried that we're going to march into Antarctica, steal their natural resources and then flounce off leaving Antarctica social and economically unstable. If he only hadn't been laying a railway track all the way he might have beaten Amundsen to the south pole. Captain Scott did try that and that's why he lost.
