The Rise and Fall of the Red Brigades

In 1970s, neo-fascist groups said even planned a coup to directly take over Italy. Ideologically, the Red Brigades traced their inspiration to left-wing partisans fighting against fascism and Nazism during World War II. Part of the reason why the advocates came into being was an extreme left-wing armed response to extreme right-wing violence. On March 16, 1978, a command of Red Brigades set up the trap for Aldomaro, the politician I mentioned just a little while ago.
