Are We Ready to Relegate Ever Larger Numbers of People to Prison?
Prisons don't deter anyone from committing crimes r on. What they do, if anything, is that they reinforce uctures that perpetuate the problems tic were saying that we're trying to remedy by sending people to prison. A public policy really doesn't have anything to say about prison abolition. That's not the goal of public policy. There are things that we can do, you know, oht to get us there. Work is, it's not complete. It's not done. And there's so many places and spaces, institutions, organizations, companies, areas of life that are impacted by prisons and by carcorality.
