My process is pretty similar. I definitely go get an idea of what the studies bout. You'll see if we got aa purpose statement or hypotheses. After that, i kind of skip. If it's a body of literature i feel pretty good about, i usually don't read the introduction. But my favorite is, like, every resistance training study starts with resistance training is commonly used to improve athletic performance and increase muscle mass. It's just, and they have like two or three citations for it in sight.
