In the book, i question that assumption. The line between modifications for health and modifications for other purposes is not as clear as we might hope. One example i discuss is male circumcision which in the usa. Is understood as something that is a health benefit. In the u k, it's not a culturally normal practice, and it's not understood as having anything to do with health.
