The Double Consequence of Sin

The first consequence of sin is eternal punishment. We are eternally separated from God. Jesus, in his great love and mercy, has taken care of the eternal consequences of sin by dying on the cross for us. Because of that, you and I, when we get baptized, we're reconciled with the Lord. Our guilt has been forgiven. And there's an eternal consequence. Well, I don't spend eternity with God, right? Hell is the other way to say it. The eternal consequence ofsin is hell. So let's even use that word. You know, in paragraph 1471, it says, the temporal punishment to sin and in 1472, it uses the word
