What Do We Know About Clement?
There is one authentic work, which is this letter to the Corinthian church. He's remembered particularly because we have this letter from him and there are other works attributed to him. Partially, I think because he responded to a controversy. So he was Pope like 91 to 102. Even just saying those dates, you get a sense of how close that is to Christ,. But especially to Paul and John and all of the apostles.
