I think it's hard to know absolutely for sure. But based on my experience talking to people, I do think people seem to at least be totally convinced that they they value it intrinsically. So one could make a utilitarian argument there that for like why you shouldn't become completely disconnected from reality because then you're less useful to others. And so I obviously also have the very strong intuition that you know, lying in the previous situation is wrong even if it seems like it narrowly would produce good consequences.
