As a person who tends to talk in terms of jargon, i have to work really hard to phrase things in a way that other people will find engaging in understanding. There are a lot of kids out there who feel like their parents think they know theyre kids, but what they know is an understanding of the kids they had, not the kids they have. And we sho eem from our words and deeds that we care about what they want. For theire riters and min will have a rapt attention. I am as guilty of it as lots of other people are. But our kids feel that way.
