The Conflict Between the Professional Managers and the Working Class

The 19 sixties divided the country into the allegedly enlightened and the allegedly benighted. The professional manageral class was able to separate itself from its economic inferiors in a way that seemed morally justifiable. Those already powerful in power, who had gotten there by way of their wealth and status, needed some way to keep their power.
