If your view salvation is centered upon man, then what you just heard from jesus is offensive. And we cannot trust in him when he brings us that message. We can't trust in the truth of god, not unless he does some sovereign, supernatural work first. Where does the bible teach this? It simply does not hathat. You've got to keep those things in mind all the way through this as your this there's presuppositions, yes, from both perspectives. But question the presupposition. The context tells us, i think, very plainly, ire, whatdoes it do when you hear this message of the sovereignty of god and the grace of god?
