IoT and the Smart Home - Is Your Network Segmented?

Most manufactures that do, you know, provide a guess network are completely segmented off from everything else on your local network and can only connect directly to the internet t. The whole reason you're using iot and a the smart home is that everything's connected and listening to each other. So having them on a guess network that isolates the traffic probably wouldn't necessarily work out. But at the end of the day, it's probably best just to keep everything that you own on your own network and then allow guests to actually use the guest network.
