Introduction

We're just weeks away now from the big international climate talks in glasgow. Governments will be trying to figure out a workable plan for how to keep global temperature rise below one and a half degrees. Almost every country has signed up to the paris agreement, which is a legally binding treaty obliging them to limit global heating to below two degrees. The biggest source of this temperature rise comes from the release of greenhouse gas swhen we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas. But much of the discussions are over how much of our reserves countries can continue to burn.
